Summer Virtual Camps 2020
Although EON can't bring our animal ambassadors to you this summer, we can still share them with you through our new online programs.

A zoom link will be emailed to you for class participation. Also, an email with the supplies and pdf of the class activities, craft templates will be emailed. The pdf does not need to be printed but may be used as a guide for crafts. Basic supplies include: crayons/markers/colored pencils, glue sticks/glue, paper, construction paper, scissors. We are trying for common household items or gathering natural items from outside. There can be several options for materials just depending on what is already handy or easily found.
Creature Colors (ages 2-3)
½ hour session M-F 9:30-10:00am (Cost $35/household)

Aug 24th-Aug 28th
Creature Colors will focus upon the different colors and patterns of animals. Participants will either have colors introduced or reinforced through mixed media: pictures and toy models. Key science concepts will be introduced through games and activities, such as matching and patterns. Live animal ambassadors will help make the colors and patterns come alive. Crafts will be made to reinforce the day.
This camp is designed for ages 2-3, but other siblings are welcome as this camp is per household. An adult or older sibling will be needed during this 30-minute camp for the crafts or activities.
Using Your Senses (ages2 -3)
½ hour session M-F 9:30-10:00am (Cost $35/household)
Aug 10th -Aug 14th
This camp session will focus upon the five senses in us and within animals, either as a sensory tool or how that animal uses that sense in its world. Each sense will be
focused upon in an exploratory manner for participants. Key science concepts will be introduced through games and activities, such as matching, not only visually but also through auditory and smell. Live animal ambassadors will help complement the topic. Crafts will be made to reinforce the day’s topic.
This camp is designed for ages 2-3, but other siblings are welcome as this camp is per household. An adult or older sibling will be needed during this 30-minute camp for the crafts or activities.
Dino Mania (ages 4-5)
45 minute-hour sessions M-F 10:30-11:30am (Cost $55/household)

Aug 10th-Aug 14th
Each day will feature different live animals that will help us learn more about dinosaurs. We will look at adaptations and habitats. Transform a defenseless dinosaur into one that can defend against a T-rex or other predator. Come be a paleontologist and put your pastasaurus together. Have fun with games, action poems, songs and crafts that relate to the day’s topic.
This camp is designed for ages 4-5, but other siblings are welcome as this camp is per household. An adult or older sibling may be needed during this hour camp for the crafts or activities.
Animals Across Maryland (Ages 4-5)
M-F 10:30-11:30 ($55/household)

Come join us on a tour across Maryland, its habitats and the animals that call those habitats home. Each day will focus upon a different Maryland habitat and some of the animals that make it their home. Related crafts, hands-on activities and games will take place. Live animal ambassadors are featured each day.

Animals Around the World (Ages 6-10)
M-F 1.5 hours ($75/household) 1:30-3:00pm
July 6th-July 10th
Come join us as we go around the world to visit different countries. We will look at a couple of regions/habitats of that country and meet some of the animals from that area. Make some arts/crafts based upon that country. Games and activities are featured each day. Live animal ambassadors will be featured each day.
This camp is designed for ages 6-10, but other siblings are welcome as this camp is per household. Most crafts and activities should be doable without adult supervision but may be needed depending upon your participants for some of the crafts or activities. Older siblings are welcome to help younger siblings.
